As a business coach and training facilitator, I hear stories all the time about how and why business owner X or business owner Y got his or her start. Most have a common thread: “I thought I could serve our customers better than Big Company A . . .” or “I didn’t like how Big Company B treated us as employees . . . “.
While there’s certainly a role in our economy for organizations with heaps and heaps of employees or layers and layers of bureaucracy, the fact is many consumers (and even the employees who work for them) are fed up with corporate giants.
