On Saturday, December 7, five womenpreneurs completed Luna Launchpad® — a 10-week business capacity-building program developed by Growmetix® to support growth-oriented Black-owned firms. The program is supported by NC IDEA.
Cohort 1 included womenpreneurs from a range of industries. Over the course of the program, participants received curated learning sessions, mentorship and peer-to-peer engagement. The curriculum focused on refining business models, strengthening financial strategies, and preparing for long-term growth.
Cohort 1 Graduates:
- Mae Barber, Prosper Grant Solutions
- Tiffany G. Bell, Image 1st Editorial
- Chanel Brown, ChanelJ Graphics
- Charise Entzminger, Entzminger Media
- Dr. Monique May, Physician in the Kitchen
The program was led by Nikita Allen, with curriculum co-designed by Angel Truesdale, Social Sciences & Business Librarian at UNC Charlotte. Participants also accessed Moonlit Circle™, a part of Growmetix’ Business Breakthrough Community, to complete assignments and engage with supplemental resources.
Growmetix® tracked program engagement across multiple metrics: workshop attendance, coaching participation, and progress in self-paced learning modules. Each womanpreneur completed the curriculum while navigating family, work and other responsibilities — a reflection of the participant experience that Luna Launchpad® is designed to support.
