We’re proud to announce that Nikita Allen, CEO of Growmetix®, has been named one of the inaugural members of the North Carolina Black Entrepreneurship Council (NC BEC) — a statewide initiative formed by the NC IDEA Foundation to support the entrepreneurial aspirations and economic potential of North Carolina’s Black community.
The Durham-based foundation launched NC BEC with an initial investment of $500,000, aiming to expand funding through partnerships with organizations, companies, and individuals. The council will guide NC IDEA’s programming and grant-making, offering strategic input on funding decisions and helping identify partners and programs that elevate Black entrepreneurship across the state.
Nikita joins a distinguished group of 25 leaders, including seven from Charlotte, who bring deep experience and insight to this important work. Her inclusion reflects a long-standing commitment to equity, innovation, and economic empowerment — values that are central to the Growmetix® mission.
We celebrate this milestone as a powerful step toward building a more inclusive and opportunity-rich entrepreneurial ecosystem in North Carolina.
Congratulations, Nikita! Your leadership continues to shape the future of business and community.
